Fractional PID Controller for Voltage-Lift Converters

Voltage-lift is a widely used technique in DC–DC converters to step-up output voltage levels. Several traditional and advanced control techniques applicable power electronic (PEC) have been reported utilized for voltage-lift applications. Similarly, recent years the implementation of fractional-order controllers (FOC) PEC applications has gained interest, aiming improve system performance, validated basic converter topologies. Following this trend, work presents an FOC converter, requiring only feedback. A third-order non-minimal phase selected experimentation verify implementations more complex configurations. simple, straightforward design approximation methodology proposed. Step-by-step development FOC, numerical practical results on 50 W are reported. The show that transient steady-state responses can be enhanced using when compared with classical linear controllers. Extended improved performance conversion also discussed.
